Impact Austin's youth initiative Girls Giving Grants (g3) has been making collective giving grants since 2006. To date, g3 has contributed a remarkable $124,100 through 20 grants to 18 nonprofits, making a tangible difference in the lives of countless youth in Greater Austin
The current g3 class includes 59 members who have each contributed $125 toward their giving circle's 2025 grant that will total $6,500. After initial meetings that included team-building, application review training, ethics and D.E.I.B. training, and awareness of community needs, the g3 class launched grant review on November 10. Now they have chosen five semi-finalist organizations for deep-dive review by each Application Review Committee (ARC).

The next step of review in February will lead the g3 class to select two grant finalists. Once they are named, the g3 team will prepare for site visits with both nonprofits. The schedule going forward is as follows:
April - Site visits take place, and members vote electronically for their 2025 awardee.
April 27 - g3 announces the recipient of their $6,500 grant
June 9 - g3 members join Impact Austin members at the Annual Meeting for a formal check presentation.
