We are kicking our 15th anniversary year off right by highlighting some amazing women that we know you will want to get to know better. We asked them three basic questions – How did you find out about Impact Austin and what inspired you to join, what is your short and sweet biography, and what do you think might surprise or interest your new friends about you? Here are their answers!
Meet Hilary Bellm and say hello the next time you see her!
“My friend, Heather McElhaney, invited me to learn more about Impact Austin at a gathering at her home. Rebecca Powers and a couple of other founding members spoke and one of the previous grant recipients (Partnerships for Children) told their story. I was intrigued by the idea and it came at a time in my life when I was looking to get more involved in the broader Austin community so I thought this would be a great way to do so.”
”I'm a Georgia native who came to Austin 7 years ago with stops along the way in New Jersey, Venezuela, California, Ireland, and Luxembourg. I love travel, people, and cultures. As a former strategy consultant, I am very good at analyzing a problem and giving you bullet point recommendations. I currently spend most of my time managing the household (twin boys in 5th grade and daughter in 1st grade) and volunteering in our school and in the community.”
“I have traveled to 42 countries and speak Spanish (I used to be fluent but can't quite say that anymore).
