Members, meet our new Office Manager, Nicole Genovese. Nicole, meet the 510 fabulous women of Impact Austin!
Nicole joined the Impact Austin team on October 2 . She brings over thirteen years of experience fundraising for healthcare, science, and education organizations. She moved to Austin in 2016, working as a grant writer for Girlstart and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas. Prior to her move to Austin, Nicole served as a writing consultant for local nonprofits and biotech companies in the Boston area. She began her professional career in Chicago at the University of Chicago Medical and Biological Sciences Development Office providing expertise in strategy and high-level writing to advance relationships and gift discussions for the cancer programs. Nicole graduated from Purdue
University with a BS in Interdisciplinary Chemistry.
Nicole began her career in the field she studied, performing cancer research in a laboratory. She says, "I quickly realized that my talents may best be used elsewhere. I have been immersed in the nonprofit world since a very young age. My mother has formed and run nonprofit organizations within my hometown community, and I would often assist in her efforts. Since that time, I have focused my philanthropic work and education, with a special interest in women and philanthropy."
We're delighted to welcome Nicole, and we look forward to the #communityimpact we can make together. Thanks for joining the team, Nicole!
