Introducing Our New Members

Impact Austin is proud to have 446 members this year, and many are new additions to the team! Help us welcome these dynamic women who are joining us in our mission of collective giving. We asked them three basic questions – “How did you find out about Impact Austin and what inspired you to join, What is your short and sweet biography, and optionally, What do you think might surprise or interest your new friends about you?” Here are their answers!

Meet Noelle Linzy, and say, “Hi!” the next time you see her.

“Impact Austin was introduced to me when my friend Penny Steele invited me to attend your membership event last year. I really like the Impact Austin model, that all of the members are female, and that we contribute $100K to each cause. Also, I love that the organization is truly a grassroots effort.”

“The last 25+ years I have lived in San Francisco but moved "home" last year to be close to family.  My background is executive recruiting, and I have worked for search firms as well as inside at PayPal and eBay in Silicon Valley.”

“I'm 50% Iraqi! My blood Father was the deputy Minister of Oil of Iraq. However, I was raised in Texas.”

Meet Julie Richie and say hello the next time you see her!

“We just recently moved to Austin and our realtor, Rita Keenan, mentioned Impact Austin to me. Then, months later, my new boss told me that I would love it and I should join so I figured it was meant to be!”

“I’m a writer and editor who works with students and young adults on college application coaching and resumes and LinkedIn Profiles at College MatchPoint in Austin. I recently moved to Austin from Dallas with my husband who left private practice to become an in-house attorney at Charles Schwab. My most important work has been raising my two sons, now 19 and 21.”

“I played two sports (soccer and lacrosse) in college - and now I have a lot of arthritis to show for it!”

Meet Erin Van Landingham, and say “Hi!” the next time you see her.

“I became familiar with Impact Austin when I worked for Hospice Austin. Then, I was the grant writer at Family Eldercare and applied for an Impact Austin grant. I was inspired to join because now, more than ever, is the time for women to join together to help, inspire and shape our community.”

"Healthcare quality improvement is my passion, especially the betterment of care delivered to older adults. We can most certainly be better at providing for our seniors, the generation that paved the way for us. My professional background is in geriatric care and I have an MS in Dementia and Aging Studies.”

“The majority of my volunteer time is dedicated to animal welfare. My husband and I have fostered (and successfully adopted out to loving families) eleven senior dogs in the past twelve months. We have four of our own dogs. I've also run two ultramarathons in the past couple years!”
