Before you begin, please carefully review the Application Process, Eligibility Guidelines, and Grant Calendar summarized below and explained with more detail in the g3 Grant Application Guidelines and Process. Once you are ready, create or update your Agency Profile in our online Grants Management System. If you are not sure if you already have an Agency Profile, please contact us to verify your EIN.
Grant Eligibility Guidelines
The organization submitting an application must be a public charity (not private foundation) with tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) and 509(a) of the Internal Revenue Service Code.
A proposal must:

Outline a project or program that targets a specific youth population for a specific duration and with specific measurable goals to be achieved;

Provide services in Travis, Hays, Bastrop and/or Williamson counties, Texas

Use the full amount of the Girls Giving Grants’ available grant; and
-
Plan to expend the grant funds within 12 months of receipt of the grant.

Our guidelines are continuing to evolve, and Girls Giving Grants reserves the right to change its criteria without prior notice at any time.
g3 Grant Application Process
Girls Giving Grants solicits written proposals in September/October for programs or projects that specifically benefit youth in the greater Austin area. Application Review Committees (ARC), led by girl leaders, learn about current community needs, engage in collaborative discussions, and study the organizations and projects that have been submitted.
After a rigorous evaluation process, the membership selects two finalists and conducts site visits either in-person or virtually for each finalist to complete their deliberations. Members vote for the grant recipient which is announced in April and awarded in a public ceremony.
