August 10, 2015 - Girls Giving Grants, Membership
Girls Giving Grants (g3) has had a very busy summer and great things are happening for them. The Girls' School of Austin has generously offered in-kind meeting space, and so g3 will be gathering at the GSA campus this year. Thank you, Girls’ School of Austin!
But that isn’t the end of the good news! G3 is recruiting for its upcoming grant year, and now is the time to join! Spread the word to young women from 8th-12th grade about Girls Giving Grants and the fun they can have doing good in their community.
There are two recruitment events currently scheduled, which will take place in the Multipurpose room at The Girls School of Austin:
These events will cover an introduction to g3 and answer any questions that girls or parents might have.
To RSVP for these events, email g3 Sponsor Ami Kane at firstname.lastname@example.org. These sessions are for potential new members and their parents.
Returning g3 members should email Ami at email@example.com to receive the full syllabus.
G3 sponsor Ami Kane: "I am so thrilled to lead g3 into its eleventh year. As an advisor with the program for the past five years, I have been continuously inspired by the philanthropic spirit of the amazing young women who join this group. They spend the year so thoughtfully selecting a worthy organization to support. Any young woman who would like to learn more about the needs of our community, collective giving, philanthropy, nonprofits, and how grant making works should join us! We're hoping to once again register 60 girls so that by April, we can make a $6,000 grant to an area organization.”
Membership applications (for both new and returning!) members are now available. They are due by September 27th to:Ami Kane PO Box 3122 Austin, TX 78704
