February 22, 2016 - Girls Giving Grants
Impact Austin is committed to developing the next generation of women in philanthropy, and they are called Girls Giving Grants (g3)!
Under the leadership of g3 Chair, Ami Kane, 70 young women who are in 8th-12th grade earned and pooled $100 each to form a $7,000 grant to give to a local nonprofit.
Then the grant requests came pouring in!
From a pool of 37 fantastic local nonprofit applicants, the members of Girls Giving Grants (g3) have been reviewing grants since November to select their top two finalists for site visits. On April 9th, the girls will visit Casa Marianella and Interfaith Action of Central Texas to learn more about their programs.
At the final meeting on April 17th, girls will select their grant recipient who will be awarded $7,000 and the honor of being chosen by Austin's next generation of cutting-edge women philanthropists. "Girls Giving Grants...changing the face of giving."
